ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3405 Firmware Update Improves Performance/Watt
UltrabookReview recently tested the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3405 and made an interesting discovery regarding its Intel Core Ultra 155H "Meteor Lake" processor. It seems that Intel is still collaborating with its device partners to enhance performance and efficiency. A UEFI firmware update (BIOS update) from ASUS has been released, which improves the processor's performance/Watt.
The reviewer compared the notebook's original BIOS version 201 with the updated version 203 and observed improvements in performance/Watt at 28 W. The firmware update specifically focuses on enhancing the notebook's power management. Notably, the most significant improvements were seen in Cinebench R23. With the original 201 firmware, the best-run score was 12357 points, while with the updated 203 firmware, it increased to 13873 points, representing a 12.25% improvement.
