AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9070 GPU series is set to be released next month, although an exact launch date has not been announced. More information is expected to be revealed through official channels by the end of this month. Team Red and its partners have chosen to stay quiet about the technical details of RDNA 4. Since CES 2025, hardware news outlets have been relying on leaks related to the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 models. Initial investigations have suggested that both models will come with 16 GB of VRAM, and rumors have mentioned an unannounced "Navi 48" GPU.

The latest leak from HKEPC seems to confirm that the Radeon RX 9070 XT will be powered by the new RDNA 4 Navi chip. A screenshot shared on social media showed information about the graphics card displayed in a TechPowerUp GPU-Z session. Despite no official confirmation of compatibility, the latest version of GPU-Z appears to be able to identify key details of the alleged "RX 9070 XT (Navi 48)" sample.

While the card's name was not visible in the screenshot, HKEPC and several press outlets believe it to be authentic. The basic specifications include 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM (manufactured by Hynix), a 256-bit memory bus, 4096 stream processors, and a boost clock speed of up to 3.1 GHz. Previous leaks suggested that the RDNA 4 cards would use PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interfaces, but the GPU-Z screenshot showed a PCI-Express 5.0 x16 bus interface (which could be a detection error). The driver version was identified as Adrenalin 24.30.01.05.

The unnamed card appears to have a significant factory overclock, leading experts to believe it could be a high-end AIB model. Reports indicate that PowerColor's Radeon RX 9070 XT Red Devil card can boost up to 3060 MHz. Another screenshot uploaded by HKEPC showed performance results from Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds PC benchmark tool. The test system, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU and 48 GB of RAM, scored 36102 points and achieved a maximum frame rate of 211.71 FPS at 1080p with "High Profile" settings. The leaker confirmed that FSR and Frame Generation were enabled during the benchmark.
